Hindu devotees carries kavadi offering cage climb 272 steps to the Batu Caves temple near the giant statue of Lord Murugan during the Thaipusam festival in Batu Caves, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006. The festival is rooted in Hindu legend and was brought from southern India by 19th century immigrants who came to the Malaysian peninsula to work in rubber estates and government offices. The ritual, banned in India, is celebrated in cities throughout Malaysia, as well as in Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Its Sunday morning market day in town, near the Town Stadium. Lazying walking about, at leisure you may buys flowers, young fruit trees or anything that you fancy and you may choose from - fresh meat from the butcher, fish from the fishmongers (fresh seafish or fresh river fish), vegetable especially those grown locally, cooked food, or even some clothings. There may even be quacks selling medicines, you can try if you trust them.

It morning and people walking about in the public park. But why carry umbrellas? In case it rains of course, and its no fun walking about when it rains; especially if its your fast walking/ jogging time. Well, it it rains you just open the umbrella and continue walking, or return to you car in your own time. Unless it pours.
