Looking around me I see the bigger pictures. And I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.

Hotel & Good Foods.

I am runnng out of ideas on what to blog on. So I keep coming back to food. Some people also run out of ideas and they go for girls or even plain sex.

This was a fried egg noddle in thick gravy, topped up with egg white, vege and seafood which I had at a hotel in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia on the Boxing Day 06 night. And it costed RM 21.00 (USD 1 = RM 3.70). Expensive? Not if you are in hotel surroundings.

I mean look at how much they would charge if you take anything from the hotel room.

And on the highway back from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur the next day, I saw these food prices. These were R & R prices.

Maybe its more expensive than these if you have similar meals outside Malaysia.

A hot hot Sunday lunch.

Today I was alone in the house, my wife gone shopping with her cousion. So I decided to have a cheap meal outside, at a rice stall. I had 1/2 a plateful of rice, a small bit of fish, some curried squids, some fried meat pieces, hot sambal (chilli paste), and some cucumber. And for drink I asked for a hot sugarless and milkless tea in a small mug. I looked forward to that meal, especially today is a hot day but it was not too humid outside. And I chose a seat in shade of a canvas shelter.

Finished my meal but the chili paste was too hot (chilli hot) to finish. And the tea also too hot (temperature hot, have to wait untill it cooled down).

And the bill? RM 6.00 (USD 1.00 = RM 3.80).

At high tide

This morning before entering the Kuantan Masjid for my Subuh Prayers, at about 5.30 in the morning, I saw this beautiful scene of a full moon. Probably the last full moon for the year 2006, the next full moon will be in early 2007 (am I right?).

But when I went for my morning walk in the garden near the beach I saw debris right up to the tiled walking track, and some of the sandy walking path have been inundated by sea water. The result of high tide caused by the full moon!.

This part of the sandy walking track used to be inundated by sea sand, brought by the strong sea waves during high tide and during monsoon seasons.

Since the Council built a concrete walls, a sort of tide wave breakers, at high tide the sea water does not even reach the footpath where the walls are present. But then the other parts of the walking paths/tracks are now affected, though within tolerance.
